Number 4

We are excited to share the news that another little angel will be joining our family this Fall.  Our original due date was November 4th, but they switched it after a dating ultrasound at 11 weeks showed us further along and now we are going off of our new due date of October 28th.  Brad took a sneak peek about a month ago and found out the baby was a girl, which was again confirmed at my 20 week ultrasound this past week.
The baby looks healthy so far.  There has been a little concern because the heart has looked more "tilted" than it should, which usually means there is a mass in the lungs or some other defect in the anatomy of the heart that is making it shift to one side.  I was scheduled for a follow up in July to figure out more about what was going on, but given the fact that all the MFM folk at UNM are pretty invested in Brad, they actually made time in their schedule to do it again on Friday.  Everything looked great then, still a tilt in the heart, but nothing abnormal that would explain the reason behind it, the anatomy of the heart looks perfect, so most likely everything is just fine.  We will do another ultrasound in a month with a pediatric cardiologist just to make sure, but we are going off of the fact that as of right now things are fine.  I really feel at peace with it all and am not concerned, but it is nice to know that through Brad's residency we get a little bit of extra special care for things like this.

Watching her on ultrasound so many times now though, has certainly made me super eager to hold her and get to know her!
