Happy Birthday Grandpa Holbrook!

Grandpa's last "working" vacation out to visit us in October

(Ella getting excited for the next time she gets to see Grandpa Holbrook)

We wanted to say a big Happy Birthday to one of Ella's two favorite Grandpas today! We are so grateful to have him in our lives--even if he lives thousands of miles away. Grandpa Holbrook is such a wonderful man and a great example to all of us. I know a large part of the man Brad is today is because of the kind of person his father is (except for his tardiness. . .of course, Dave, there is no way that came from you) Ha Ha. Anyway, all jokes aside, we love Grandpa so much and are so appreciative of all he does for us. I don't think there is a time he has come out to visit us when he hasn't undertook some large home project for us. We appreciate all the hard work he has put into our home--especially for the office in which I am now sitting and typing this up. We think of you often as we turn on our under cabinet lighting, step out of the shower and are thankful for the bathroom fan, as I cook dinner and use all my spices, and so much more! We love you and look forward to seeing you again soon. Happy Birthday!!

The tardiness came from Arline (We probably spent half our childhood sitting in the car with dad waiting for mom so we could leave - not really, but it sounds good). Brad quickly learned to one-up her, he soon became the last one out, and in mom's defense, at least she was fully dressed when she came out - unlike Brad.
