We spent the one rainy day we had at OBX at Kitty Hawk and visited the museum there. Brad and I had been a number of times when we lived in Virginia, but the girls hadn't and everyone else wanted to go so we tagged along. Brad, being the good and fun Dad that he is, made sure the girls each got to experience the flight distances to the 4 markers that point out the Wright Brothers first flights and their distances. He carried each one as airplanes down the field--the girls loved it!
