Colorado

As I mentioned before, Brad is in Colorado for the month of March. Ella is on Spring Break this week so we decided to drive up to Colorado and spend a long weekend with Daddy and with our good friends, the Stutzneggers, who live up there. We (minus Brad) got back last night and I have chosen to spend my time blogging rather than doing laundry!

It was so nice to spend time with Daddy and so nice to visit and catch up with our dear friends and let out kiddies play. Thanks again Conrad and Courtney for being such wonderful hosts and welcoming us into your home! Courtney told me that her kids refer to ours as cousins---and we love that, especially since it also means the "crazy Uncle Brad" description fits as well! Even though we had to go from our warm weather to the cold and snow, we had a lot of fun and the girls did not let the cold stop them from having fun outside! The two things they ask us for the most are a trampoline and swingset, followed by a dog. . .since the Stutzneggers had all 3 they were pretty much in heaven!  The entire time we were there we were listening to Hadley yell and point at either "Dodda" (her word for doggie), or "Baby".  She was fascinated by their dog Ollie as well as by baby Lucy. Maybe, just maybe, we'll end up moving there next summer, and if we do we will love the extra opporunities to hang out with some of our besties!

All the kiddos minus little Lucy

Maggie LOVED their dog Ollie, he is such a good and mild-mannered dog. She would often go lay next to him and pet him.   On a bit of a sad note, we did learn that Ella is allergic to long haired dogs--we had a suspicion since she has had a couple of reactions when she goes to our friends' house here in ABQ who have a dog, but it was DEFINITELY confirmed on our trip up there with Ollie.  Luckily, some children's claritin seemed to do the trick and she was able to be comfortable with the dog around.
