First Day of First Grade!
Ella had her first day of first grade on August 6th. She went to full day kindergarten here last year, so there was no adjustment in schedule, but she did seem to have a hard time getting back into the swing of things after a not long enough, fun summer. She missed her old teacher and old classmates and was a bit uncomfortable in her new one. However, after about a week she seemed to get over it and we have been problem/drama free for the most part ever since. Whew! Her teacher this year is Ms. Mary Kay and Ella seems to be learning a lot already. She has come home a couple of days so excited to tell me the exciting news that Ms. Mary Kay told the whole class she loves them! I think that is the sign of a good teacher and what will be a great year!
