Parties

Ella is very into to planning and creating "parties" lately.  She usually gets the idea for the kind of party she wants to have during quiet time, she enlists Maggie's help (while Hadley is napping), and together they set up and decorate for the party and it's always held under lamp-light.  These parties only actually happen once Daddy gets home for work--they are always set up just for him, so don't be fooled and think Daddy has it rough in a house full of girls, he is certainly the center of the universe around here.  This particular party was set up with leftover decorations and boxes from Ella's birthday party the week before. The activities included treasure hunts and our own music that we all got to take turns playing and directing.  Such a fun party!
Last night we also had a sleepover party with beds created for each family member (except they forgot Momma of course :( ), we had to find treasure, pretend to sleep, and play limbo.  It certainly has become the activity of choice for our girls this summer and leaves the guest bedroom a mess every time.  They will have to get their fill before the baby comes and takes over their party room!

Brad--did you just finish one of those 24 hour things? Looks like you're leading the sleepy symphony. I don't know who wrote that one. Pat
